“The 8th Children of Asia Games Torch Relay will travel across all districts of the republic both by land and by air and cover more than 35,000 km. Torch Relay is aimed at involving every resident of the republic in Children of Asia Games. Total number of torchbearers will be 550 people. In addition, local volunteers will be involved. All 36 districts have prepared their routes. In a number of points it is planned to place a torch and a lantern for visiting,” said Maksim Prokopyev, Torch Relay Director.
Torch Relay of the 8th Children of Asia Games starts on March 20. The first point is Khangalassky district - the homeland of the founder of Children of Asia Games, the First President of the Sakha Republic, Mikhail Nikolaev. Tuymaada Stadium in Yakutsk will be the last point of the route. Torch Relay will end on June 26 at the Opening Ceremony of the Games.
To recall, the 8th Children of Asia International Sports Games will be held from June 25 to July 7, 2024 in Yakutsk.
