A field meeting aimed at inspecting sports venues of the 8th Children of Asia Games was held
President of the Children of Asia International Committee Mr. Vladimir Maksimov, Director General of the CAIC Mr. Gavril Tsypandin, Acting Director General of the 8th Children of Asia Games Directorate Mr. Mikhail Sivtsev joined the meeting.
During the meeting, a tour of such facilities as: Elley Botur Ice Palace, Tuymaada Stadium, Komsomolskaya Square, Dokhsun Sports Complex, Yakut City National Gymnasium, 50 Years Victory Sports Palace, Modun Sports Complex and Cholbon Swimming Pool. In total, 16 facilities in the capital of the Republic will be involved in holding competitions in 24 sports. Currently, preparations are underway for repair work.
“Children of Asia Games always leave a huge sports legacy, not only in the form of trained athletes, but also a high-quality sports infrastructure. One of the main tasks of the Games is to ensure that the facilities and people who prepared such sports event then find their continuation and be in demand in the future,” Mr. Vladimir Maksimov noted.
The 8th Children of Asia International Sports Games will be held in Yakutsk from June 25 to July 7, 2024.
