«Children of Asia» light up the stars: The best volunteers of the 8th Children of Asia Games were awarded in Yakutsk
Today in a grand award ceremony for active work and contribution to the development of the Children of Asia Games, Vladimir Maksimov, President of the Children of Asia International Committee, gave a Badge of honour to the volunteers.
The Badge of honour is awarded to volunteers who have participated in several Children of Asia Games. For example, the Bronze Badge is given to volunteers who have participated in three Games, the Silver Badge is given for volunteering in four Games, and the Gold Badge is given to volunteers who have participated in five or more Children of Asia Games.
Pavel Bondarenko and Maria Emelyanova received the Silver Volunteer Badge.
«It is very exciting and a joy to receive such a badge. At the Children of Asia Games, we are watching our Olympic future being born. And I am very pleased to know and realise that we are important to the Games», Maria Emelyanova said.
Ekaterina Klimova, Vera Tukhvatullina, Evdokiya Pakhomova, Nadezhda Kurmanova and Marina Vyalkova, the winner of the volunteer badge design contest, got the Bronze Volunteer Badges.
«For me, the Children of Asia Games mean being proud! A person at the call of his heart becomes a volunteer. I attended the 1st Games in 1996, was a volunteer at the 6th Games in Yakutsk, 7th Games in Vladivostok and 8th Games in Yakutsk. I am sure that we will take part in future Games as well», Evdokia Pakhomova said.
In total, about 1900 volunteers are involved in the 8th Children of Asia Games.
