31 first-aid posts to operate in Yakutsk for the Children of Asia Games
31 first-aid posts, including 15 round-the-clock and 16 day care posts, will operate during the 8th Children of Asia International Sports Games. This was announced at a briefing by the First Deputy Minister of Health of the Sakha Republic, Dmitry Sergin.
"Health professionals from Yakutsk and nearby central district hospitals will provide the aid. 15 round-the-clock posts will be at the accommodation facilities for athletes, coaches, team representatives, cultural programme participants, and volunteers from the arrival day until the end of the Games. 16 day care posts will work at the competition venues," Dmitry Sergin said.
Polyclinic No. 1, Yakutsk City Hospitals No. 2 and No. 3, the Yakutsk Medical Centre, the Phthisiology Applied Research Centre, the Republican Children's Tuberculosis Sanatorium, the Yakutian Republican Oncology Dispensary, Republican Hospital No. 1 - National Centre of Medicine, the Yakutian Republican Dermatovenerology Dispensary, the Yakutian Republican Narcology Dispensary, and the Yakutian Republican Psychoneurology Dispensary will be involved in the operation of the round-the-clock posts.
The day care will be provided by professionals from 14 central hospitals of the following districts: Amginsky, Aldansky, Verkhnevilyuysky, Vilyuysky, Gorny, Megino-Kangalassky, Namsky, Neryungrinsky, Suntarsky, Tattinsky, Tomponsky, Ust-Aldansky, Khangalassky, Churapchinsky, as well as the North-Eastern Federal University Clinic.
A total of 116 health professionals, including 58 doctors and 58 nurses, will work at the first-aid posts.
Medical personnel will be equipped with necessary medicines, equipment, and expendable supplies.
During the competitions and mass events of the Games, first-aid teams and specialised teams of the Republican Disaster Medicine Centre will be on duty.
In preparation for the Games, the staff of the Republican Centre for Medical Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine conducted profound medical examinations of 250 candidates for the Sakha Republic national teams. The doctors gave recommendations on better training during sports medical examinations.
In addition, more than 400 people, including sports medics, athletes, and staff of the national teams, completed the "Anti-doping 2024" training by RUSADA.
Centralised vaccination of catering workers as well as medical examinations of volunteers have been organised at Polyclinic No. 1.
