The Friendship Relay Swimming Relay of the 8th Children of Asia Games finished in Yakutsk. The highlight of the unusual swim was the formation of teams. Athletes from various national teams of different countries and regions were assigned randomly. Girls and boys competed in 4x50 freestyle, with four athletes in each team.
As a result, the Tsunami team with swimmers from Belarus, Thailand and Azerbaijan took first place among the boys. Second place went to the Almyzy team with participants from Moscow, Thailand, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. The third place went to the Mammoths team with participants from the Urals Federal District, Far Eastern Federal District, Northern Federal District and Kazakhstan.
Among girls, the first place was taken by the Champion Girls team with representatives from the Siberian Federal District, Kazakhstan and Thailand. The second place was won by the Turtles team with participants from Belarus, Uzbekistan and Thailand. The third place went to the Mammoths team with athletes from Yakutia, Kazakhstan, Far Eastern Federal District and Belarus.
The earned medals will be counted in the total medal standings of each national team whose representatives were part of the teams in the Friendship Relay.
