Head of Yakutia Chaired Children of Asia Games Organizing Committee Meeting
Head of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) Aisen Nikolaev held an extended meeting of the 8th Children of Asia Games Organizing committee.
“Less than a hundred days are left until the start of the largest international sporting competition. We are entering the home stretch - there should be no procrastination, delays, or deferred decisions on preparation of sports, accommodation, catering facilities and improvement of Yakutsk,” emphasized Aisen Nikolaev.
He noted that this weekend he inspected sports facilities to be involved in competitions - Multifunctional Sports Center, Triumph Sports Center, Tuymaada Stadium, and Dokhsun Sports Complex.
During the meeting, preparation of the North-Eastern Federal University venues was also discussed. They are planned to host sport competitions and to be involved in accommodation and catering.
To recall, the 8th Children of Asia Games will be held from June 25 to July 7. Young athletes will compete in 24 sports and play 239 sets of medals.
