Team of Amginsky District is Winner of Children of Asia Games Quiz
Final round of the quiz “From Origins to New Heights” dedicated to the 8th Children of Asia Games brought together teams representing 8 districts of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia). The event took place as part of the 4th Muus Ustar Youth Festival at the North-Eastern Federal University Student’s Initiatives Center.
This year, the Children of Asia Games are returning to their birthplace, noted Deputy Minister for Physical Culture and Sports of Yakutia Aleksandr Bugaev: “We are grateful to the First President of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) Mikhail Nikolaev, the initiator and founder of the Games. Today you have become part of this major international sporting event.”
A total of 26 applications were received to participate in the quiz. Based on the results of the qualifying stage, eight teams reached the finals - representatives of Amginsky, Anabarsky, Verkhoyansky, Nyurbinsky, Megino-Kangalassky, Olekminsky districts, as well as Yakutsk.
“Participation in the quiz gave you an opportunity to get more information about the upcoming Games. You are kindly requested to share this information with your fellow citizens so that the mission of the Games reach every resident of the republic. I hope that you will join the upcoming Games as volunteers and organizers and I am confident that the Games will be held at a high organizational level,” said Mikhail Sivtsev, Director General of the 8th Children of Asia Games Directorate.
Team of Amginsky district became a winner. Winners were awarded tickets to the Opening Ceremony of the 8th Children of Asia Games and a certificate for 30,000 rubles. The team from Yakutsk took 2nd place and were awarded a certificate for 20,000 rubles. Team of Verkhoyansky district took 3rd place and was awarded a certificate for 10,000 rubles.
