Within the framework of the International Russia EXPO at VDNKh the ceremony of awarding the 8th Children of Asia Games Ambassador certificates took place during the presentation of the upcoming Games.
The Head of Yakutia Mr. Aisen Nikolaev presented certificates to the Ambassadors of the 8th Children of Asia International Sports Games – Olympic champion in artistic gymnastics in Rio-2016 Ms. Margarita Mamun and two-time Olympic hockey champion Mr. Vyacheslav Fetisov.
Ms. Margarita Mamun, the Olympic champion in artistic gymnastics, Ambassador of the 8th Children of Asia International Sports Games shared her thoughts:
"Children of Asia Games are not only large-scale celebration for young athletes but also a great opportunity to experience the atmosphere of the Universiade and the Olympic Games. This will be a tremendous experience for children in their sports careers. Country’s Olympic reserve is truly formed through Children of Asia Games. I am confident that some of the children will perform at the Olympic Games, and when this happens they will not feel uncomfortable as a consequence of competing at Children of Asia International Sports Games."
As Ambassadors, Ms. Margarita Mamun and Mr. Vyacheslav Fetisov will actively draw public attention to Children of Asia Games. They will also serve as inspirations and examples for young athletes who have just begun their journey in the world of sports. Their experience and knowledge will help to generate even greater interest in sports among children and create favorable conditions for their development and self-realization.
