Today, May 17, the 8th Children of Asia Games Torch Relay took place in Oymyakon district. Ust-Nera locals met the participants of the relay on the main street.
Nine residents of Oymyakonsky district were torchbearers: Acting Head of Oymyakon district Sargylana Mozhukova, Acting Head of the Ust-Nera settlement Viktoria Ponamarchuk, Deputy Head of the Oymyakon district Municipal Property Department Evgeniy Krivoshapkin, Yakutia Airlines Captain Pyotr Savvinov, Head of the State Fire Service Unit of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) Mikhail Andreev, Head of the Capital Projects Department of the Oymakon district Service for Infrastructure Development and Information and Legal Support Pavel Berezkin, athletics coach-teacher at Tomtor Children and Youth Sports School Ulyana Vinokurova, supplementary education teacher of Pegas Center for Childhood Creativity Egor Neustroev, and student of N. M. Zabolotsky Tomtor Secondary School Alexander Vasilyev.
