Tourist programs for the guests of the 8th Children of Asia Games
A rich tourist program awaits the participants of the 8th Children of Asia Games, which will start in Yakutia in June. In their free time, young athletes will get acquainted with the national culture and traditions of the Yakutia peoples. Special tourist routes have been prepared for them.
For example, as part of the Excursion into the Permafrost, children will visit the Usadba Atlasovykh ethnographic complex. Here they will have a traditional greeting ritual of Algys. Then they will visit the Permafrost Kingdom ice gallery, the P.A. Lazarev Mammoth Museum, and the Museum of Archaeology and Ethnography of the North-Eastern Federal University.
Another tourist route, Museums of Yakutsk, will introduce the children to the People of the World Khomus Museum and Center, the Yaroslavsky Museum of Local Lore, and the Russia – My History multimedia historical park.
Participants of the third tourist route, Getting to Know Yakutsk, will visit the Treasury of Yakutia and see the most beautiful jewelry of the republic. The program also includes visits to the Old Town, the Lensky Ostrog, the Kruzhalo Trading Rows, and the Yakutsk City Transfiguration Cathedral.
The 8th Children of Asia Games will be held from June 25 to July 7, 2024, in Yakutsk. More than 3.5 thousand guests are expected to participate, including about 2.6 thousand athletes.
Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier called the Children of Asia Games “one of the most interesting and successful projects in youth sports, uniting talented, enthusiastic children from different regions of Russia and different countries.”
The Head of Yakutia, Aisen Nikolaev, noted that the 8th Children of Asia International Sports Games will become one of the largest international competitions in Russia in 2024 and will be held at the highest level.
