8th Children of Asia Games Presented in Thailand
Director General of the 8th Children of Asia Games Mikhail Sivtsev held a presentation of the 8th Children of Asia Games in Bangkok.
The event was attended by participants of the 3rd Summit of Young Professionals in Sports from 21 countries: Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Belarus, Jordan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Cambodia, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Mongolia, Oman, Pakistan, Palestine, Russia, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka.
As part of the presentation, the Directorate of the 8th Games held a quiz game “One Continent - One Team” for the Summit participants. Quiz was aimed at learning more about the history of Children of Asia Games, as well as the history and culture of Yakutia.
“The Children of Asia Games are of great value and significance, as they help improve friendly relations between the countries of the Asian continent, and also provide an opportunity for the development of children's sports. It was with this message that we determined the slogan of the 8th Children of Asia Games: “One continent - one team.” This slogan emphasizes the importance of unity and solidarity among us all. Regardless of our origin, culture or language, we all develop sport together. We will be glad to see the teams of your countries and you at the 8th Children of Asia International Sports Games in Yakutia,” emphasized Mikhail Sivtsev.
The 8th Children of Asia Games will take place from June 25 to July 7, 2024. Athletes will compete for 239 sets of medals in 24 sports.
