Step towards Olympic dreams: Yakutsk to Hold Climbing Olympus Educational Program for the First Time
On February 17 Climbing Olympus Educational Program by the Children of Asia International Committee is going to make its debut in Yakutsk. It will bring together students of Sharin School No. 39, a key venue of the event, as well as students of sports schools.
The Program will include trainings, lectures and master classes by speakers from the Children of Asia International Committee, the Russian national anti-doping organization “RUSADA” and the Association of Sports Psychologists. Participants will gain knowledge about the values of sport, learn the basics of anti-doping rules, and learn to cope with difficulties through psychotechnical games for personal effectiveness.
“We have already held the Climbing Olympus Educational Program in Kuzbass, Vladivostok and Bishkek. The program received glowing feedback from young athletes and coaches. Participation in our project is a unique investment in one’s education that I believe necessary to achieve success in sports,” noted Sardaana Zhendrinskaya, head of International relations department of the Children of Asia Committee.
The Committee develops educational projects aiming at improvement of athletes, coaches and judges qualification, dissemination of knowledge in the field of sports management and exchange experience. Climbing Olympus is one of such educational projects of the Committee focused on promoting the Olympic principles, introducing the history of Children of Asia Games, promoting clean sports and strengthening friendly relations between athletes.
