Ahead of the Flame Lighting Ceremony of the 8th Children of Asia Games, a working meeting was held between Head of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) Aisen Nikolaev and President of the Russian Olympic Committee Stanislav Pozdnyakov.
The meeting was attended by President of the Children of Asia International Committee Vladimir Maksimov, Secretary General of the Russian Olympic Committee Rodion Plitukhin, Advisors to the President of the Russian Olympic Committee Nikolai Varfolomeev and Alexey Frosin, Deputy Chairman of the Government of Yakutia Sergei Mestnikov, Minister for Physical Culture and Sports of Yakutia Leonid Spiridonov.
During the meeting, preparation for Children of Asia Games was discussed, in particular, organizational issues - logistics, accommodation of athletes and participation of foreign delegations. Holding the International Forum of Young Olympians to be held for the first time in Yakutsk as part of the 8th Children of Asia Games was also considered.
The delegation of the Russian Olympic Committee arrived in Yakutsk to attend the 8th Children of Asia Games Flame Lighting Ceremony. It will traditionally take place at the foot of the Lena Pillars Nature Park om March 19.
