The Climbing Olympus educational program has started
Young athletes of the 8th Children of Asia Games will take part in the Educational Program of the Children of Asia International Committee within the framework of the competitions.
The participants of the Climbing Olympus Educational Program were welcomed by the President of the Children of Asia International Committee Vladimir Maksimov:
"Your involvement, which I have now seen and heard, shows that we do not develop such programs in vain. I wish you that the time you spend at the Games, including attending educational programs, will be memorable for you. Wherever you are, the knowledge that you get today will be useful for you in life. Because the same principles apply in life: to be an honest person and be ready for work".
The project aims to promote Olympic values, clean sport and sports psychology, as well as to strengthen friendly relations between young athletes.
Climbing Olympus Educational Program will be held from June 30 to July 5 on the basis of the Boiling Point (Tochka Kipeniya) of the corps of NEFU natural science building.
The Climbing Olympus Educational Program includes three modules:
The first is an Olympic lesson, where young athletes will learn about the history of the Olympic movement and games in the format of a lecture with the viewing of an animated cartoon and an interactive test.
The second - clean sport, where the experts of the anti-doping agency will tell about the culture of zero tolerance to doping, about the types of anti-doping violations, will bring real cases from sports life.
The third is sports psychology, where RUSADA speakers will tell athletes how to cope with various emotions that arise due to stress, pressure, criticism and competition.
The lecturers are Yevgeny Khristenko and Alyona Chesnokova, specialists of the department of educational programs implementation of the Russian National Anti-Doping Organization RUSADA, Lira Ulyaeva and Alla Solovyeva, lecturers from the Association of Sport Psychologists.
Today the participants of the program were the national teams of Mongolia in mas-wrestling, India in Kurash wrestling, Laos in table tennis, Belarus and Pakistan in taekwondo and Thailand in rhythmic gymnastics.
