First Deputy Minister for Physical Culture and Sports of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) Aleksandr Bugaev announced this at a briefing.
“239 sets of medals will be competed in 24 sports during the 8th Children of Asia Games. It is approved that there will be two award ceremonies – the flower award ceremony will take place at the competition venues, and medal award ceremonies will be held in the Games Cultural Park following the results of each day,” said Aleksandr Bugaev.
Awarding attributes will consist of medals in a case, diplomas, mascots of the Games and Cups in team sports. Medals will also be awarded to the winning coaches.
The head of Yakutia, Aisen Nikolaev, established the Cup of the First President of Yakutia, Mikhail Nikolaev. The cup will be awarded to the youngest winner of the 8th Children of Asia Games.
