8th Children of Asia Games Flame Lighting Ceremony will take place on March 19 in Lena Pillars Nature Park marking 100 days before the start of the Games. The Torch Relay will start with the arrival of the Flame in Pokrovsk on March 20 and end on June 26 at the Opening Ceremony of the Games in Tuymaada Stadium.
The Flame accompanied by the guardians, organizers, torchbearers and volunteers will travel across 36 districts of Yakutia. 80 torches are being produced for the Relay. They will be revealed before the Flame Lighting Ceremony.
Moreover, special projects will be carried out during the Torch Relay to show iconic, historical, cultural and picturesque places of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) - birthplace of the Games.
Torch Relay will cover a distance of more than 37,000 km in the hands of 550 torchbearers.
Recall that the 8th Children of Asia Games will be held from June 25 to July 7, 2024 in Yakutsk. Competitions will be held in 24 sports. Young athletes will compete for 239 sets of medals.
