As a result of the application campaign, more than 5 thousand candidates applied to the Volunteer Corps of the 8th Children of Asia Games. To date, 1,900 volunteers have been selected.
Volunteers from Yakutia, other regions of Russia, as well as from Oman, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan will be recruited for the Games.
As Head of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) Aisen Nikolaev said earlier, Children of Asia Games will be a good experience and an opportunity to communicate with peers from different regions and countries for all volunteers.
Volunteers will be involved in 19 functional areas in the organization and hosting of the 8th Games. Among them - attachés of foreign delegations and regions of Russia, volunteer Information Center, volunteers of educational events, volunteers of accreditation, ticket program volunteers, volunteers of meetings and greetings, volunteers of issuing equipment, volunteers of access control, cultural volunteers, medical volunteers, volunteers from the Main Press Center, nutrition volunteers, information support volunteers, accommodation volunteers, sports facility volunteers, transport volunteers, volunteers for awards ceremonies and social events, as well as Team Leaders.
The training of volunteers will take place in three steps. The first step provides theoretical training, the second - functional training, the third - practical training at the sites of the Games.
The training of the Volunteer Corps will be completed by June 26.
Work of volunteers in the areas of «Team Leaders» and «Accreditation» will begin from June 5.
The 8th Children of Asia Games will be held from June 25 to July 7, 2024 in Yakutsk. More than 3,500 guests are expected to attend, including about 2,600 athletes.
