The Sakha Republic (Yakutia) united team held 10-days 3x3 basketball training camp before the 8th Children of Asia International Sports Games. Intensive training sessions took place under the supervision of Mr. Mikhail Gunter, 3x3 basketball world champion, as well as the winner of the 2nd Children of Asia Games in 2000.
Young basketball players from Yakutsk and Neryungri worked on their skills under the watchful eye of the coach. Individual technique and well-coordinated teamwork were the main aspects of the training.
At the end of the training camp, Mr. Mikhail Gunter sprang surprise on young athletes by inviting Mr. Levan Gorozia, a famous singer and their fellow countryman, to training session. Levan, who is also the champion of the 2nd Children of Asia Games as a member of the Yakutia united team, conducted a master class and signed an autograph for everyone. Also, each participant of the training camp received a commemorative T-shirt from the Gunter Camp.
