Children of Asia Games Alumni conducted a master class for young judoists from Yakutsk

Yuri Krakovetsky and Maxim Rakov, famous athletes and alumni of the Children of Asia International Sports Games, conducted a judo masterclass for young athletes from Yakutsk and its suburbs. About 100 children took part in the event, who are training in martial arts. 

This masterclass was a great event for the young athletes. World famous sports stars showed their signature throws and taught some new techniques to the participants. 

As Maxim Rakov noted, such master classes are a great way to promote a healthy lifestyle and sports among the younger generation. 

"As an alumnus, I am very pleased to be here in Yakutsk and to be part of the Children of Asia International Sports Games again. It is very exciting when you have the opportunity to share your skills and knowledge with the younger generation of the Republic. This is one of the best ways to promote a healthy lifestyle," said Maxim Rakov.

In his turn, Yuri Krakovetsky noted the high level of judo competitions within the framework of the current Children of Asia International Sports Games .

"It was a great pleasure to be once again attending the Children of Asia competitions. The judging was objective. I would like to note a high level of preparation and organisation of the competitions. It makes me very glad," the athlete shared. 

Athletes from Yakutia's judo team also took part in the masterclass. One of them was Evgenia Chesebieva, who had previously taken third place in the up to 52 kg category at the judo competitions of the 8th Children of Asia Games. 

"Conducting such masterclasses is very useful for young athletes. I will definitely use the techniques shown by Children of Asia Alumni Yuri Krakovetsky and Maxim Rakov in the near future," Yevgeniya Chesebieva shared her impressions. 

Yuri Krakovetsky is a participant of the Rio de Janeiro and London Olympic Games, silver medallist of the Asian Championship 2015, and a member of the National Judo Team of Kyrgyzstan.

Maxim Rakov is a judoka from Kazakhstan, Honoured Master of Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan in judo, 2009 World Champion in the category up to 100 kg.
