Children of Asia Games alumna taught a master class for young taekwondo athletes of Yakutia

Phannapa Harnsujin, champion of the 5th Children of Asia Games and participant of the Rio 2016 Games, taught a master class for young taekwondo athletes of Yakutia. About 50 children from 7 to 15 years old who practise martial arts took part in the event.

Despite the language barrier, the training session was a great experience for the young athletes, who were excited to watch and learn new techniques from the world champion.

According to Phannapa Harnsujin, this is the first time she is teaching a master class outside of her home country, the Kingdom of Thailand.

«I am happy that I had such an opportunity to give a class for children in Yakutsk. I am surprised at how much interest the children have in taekwondo, and I was very glad that so many people came. This is also a special event for me. It is a very interesting and valuable experience for all of us», said Phannapa.

One of the participants of the master class, 8-year-old Saisary Afanasyeva, said that she has been doing taekwondo for four years with enthusiasm and already has a blue-red belt.

«I like taekwondo a lot, so I came to the class to learn new techniques. I want to continue practising this sport and become a world champion in the future», the young athlete said.

The master class left a memorable impression not only on the children, but also on the coaches and parents. For example, after the class, all the participants were happy to take photos and autographs of the 5th Children of Asia Games alumna.

It is worth mentioning that Phannapa Harnsujin is from the Kingdom of Thailand. She is the champion of the 5th Children of Asia Games, World Champion 2019, bronze medallist of the Asian Games 2023, multiple medallist of the Asian Championships, champion of the Southeast Asian Games, participant of the Olympics 2016 in Rio de Janeiro.

Let us remind you that the Children of Asia Games alumni will teach master classes for young athletes and will be involved in other events within the ongoing Games.
