During his working visit to Yakutsk, having talked to Aisen Nikolaev, the Head of the Sakha Republic, Russian President Vladimir Putin decided to inspect the central city stadium. The Nikolay Tarsky Tuymaada Stadium is the place for the Opening Ceremony of the 8th Children of Asia Games, which will be held in 7 days.
Near the stadium, the President was greeted by local residents. A young judo athlete was among them. Vladimir Putin asked how long he had been practicing the sport and wished him to become a champion. The President also noted that Yakutsk has a good stadium.
As a reminder, the Opening Ceremony of the 8th Children of Asia Games will be held on June 26 at 19:00. The audience will enjoy a three-hour program: a parade of athlete delegations and flags of the participating countries, a song and dance show, as well as performances by famous artists.
