At the Far East Championship, held in March in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Yakutia's team took 2nd place. According to the senior coach of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia), youth volleyball coach Aisen Zhergotov, the team’s preparation for the 8th Children of Asia International Sports Games is going according to plan and is already at the final stage.
“We started preparations after the 7th Games took place in Vladivostok in 2022. Volleyball team consist of young volleyball players from Zhigansk, Suntar, Tatta, Amga, Churapcha, Nam districts and Yakutsk,” said the senior coach.
Sterkh Sports Complex will host volleyball competitions.
The 8th Children of Asia International Sports Games set to take place from June 25 to July 7, 2024 in Yakutsk. A total of 239 sets of medals will be played in 24 sports.
